Great review! I think that's a totally fair take. The world building and visuals are brilliant. But the rest is such an uneven mixed bag it's hard to really feel satisfied with it as a stand alone series. And it definitely doesn't feel like it would appeal to anyone that isn't already intimately familiar with the mythos and lore of Transformers in general and that's I think it's biggest failing considering literally every other Transformers series has never had that problem.
