Libby x Holly Page 1 (Patreon)

I'm using this first page as a stylistic test-bed. I'm going a liiiiittle bit cartoonier with this one, just because it's so nice to have a little bit of loosey-goosey freedom with character designs and expressions.. 

Fitting for a Lady kinda necessitated a lot of attention to detail and with Libby and Holly I think I'll be able to swing more towards an playful realism where things kinda deteriorate into some kinda blend between the limited palette shading style I've been using lately and a kind of mid century print design look.

The second image is just some of the different color and halftone patterns I was playing with. Ultimately I think going warmer is always my go to and it does what it needs to.

Very excited to have this pinned down at last. You'll also notice I've more or less decided the call the witchy character Aster, a former, unused hiker name. It's nice to have it here.

I'll have a character sheet for Aster and Holly next on my list since I want their designs mostly ironed out before I get too deep in this.
