Earlier this year I got into technical pens after these Standardgraph Stano pens were gifted to me. If you like microns or any other ultra fine tip ink pens, they might be something for you to try out. If you've ever tried a Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph, it's the exact same thing.

I tend to journal a lot and got into using fountain pens as a result, and now I've got a variety of fountain pen inks that I put into the technical pens (including this flourescent pink, I think it's Noodler's Hellfire) that is really fun to draw with.

I like monowidth pens generally when drawing with traditional media and so maybe it's not surprising that I'm really diggin this particular PS brush from the KTW Letterers set called Tech Pen Versa. It's got a pretty goofy stamping quality that gets horrendous if you try to scale it up too much, but for line drawing, I love it.

I go back and forth on how much I want my digital tools to resemble my traditional ones. I'm also really influenced with the tools I see other people drawing with and it makes me anxious to switch all the time.

I think I'm going to try adding some of the bleedy, pooling color quality that I get from fountain pen ink in my real technical pens and see how it feels digitally.

That's enough shop talk for now, thanks for reading!
