06/19/20 I started daydreaming about the hiker/dryad comic. I need to start doodling dryads, probably!

06/17/20 Update: Just had to draw some Velmas, you know how it goes.

06/11/20 Update: Happy Thursday! -- just a few more sketches. I think I spent two hours tweaking photoshop brushes to make these--woof. Maybe went overboard there.

I had a conversation on twitter with someone recently about celebrating more nonstandard proportions. I'm going to try to keep that in the back of my mind this month, sketching figures that just have different extremes to their construction because lately I've felt I need to shake up my figures, like they're too same-y.

I'm kinda enjoying having some softer brushes to play with. Just a different feel all together for sketching than I'm used to.

Happy  Friday, everyone! <3

how big are you usually working for the digital canvas? love the mood and softness of these sketches

Usually it's a 3000x4000 px @300dpi document. So basically 10"x13", something kinda like the size of my real sketchbook

I love seeing sketch work. You get a chance to see the artist's process
