Zelbosa Sketch Pages 8-13 (Patreon)

Happy Sunday everyone. Here it is, Zelda taking over for a minute! For your curiosity I've included my ultra messy thumbnail sketches (not much cleaner than my actual rough pages honestly) mixed in with Urbosa doodles because I still want to practice drawing her musculature.

 I treat the thumbnails as a way of quickly figuring out the progression of the visual progression of the panels, choreography of the characters and narrative. This is made a little easier because I decide that the pages alternate between 3 panel and single panel layouts.

Because I keep the sketch pages rough, some things will still change in the final drawing.

I like to create a flow of elements throughout the page across panels that naturally leads your eye in an arc of some sort. The page on the right is a little static-feeling right now. I like Urbosa as a big diagonal element across all panels with Zelda changing position in each, but I'll probably push and pull her in the panels so that she creates a subtle zigzag and I don't end up with something that feels repetitive like a Garfield strip, lol.
