04/01 Edit: I'm adding an alternate with Zelda and Urbosa both getting a little more into it.

Question: I've never really done 'alternate' versions of my illustrations, but I see other people making cum/clothed/etc versions of things all the time. Be honest: Do you care about alternate versions? Is that interesting or compelling to you? It doesn't take a lot more time and if everyone would be stoked about it, I'd start adding new versions.

-----------

I hope the post processing isn't too much! I attached the unprocessed version as well.

Thanks all for your support this month. I really love the work that we do together, especially since you're all so on-board with me doing silly things like this Edmund Dulac fanart ;)

I tried screen recording while I worked on this for the majority of it. I'm going to see if it's usable and share for the gold patrons in a couple of days, or at the very least do a little bit of a breakdown of the process!

Cheers,

W.

Soooo glad this vote won. I'm glad I made the suggestion!

Great stuff as always, W.! I got a question though, wouldn't Urbosa's nips be a different color than Zelda's? (unless they are and I'm not seeing this right)

wintonkidd

That's a good point! Probably! Sometimes I limit the color palette a little too much and just simplify the colors down. I'm a really bad last minute fixer as I am sure you've seen in the process of past comics so I think that's something I might change as I go forward

Loving it!! Really fantastic work with the hands especially, they really sell the intensity of the moment. I personally *love* alternates - poses, expressions, outfits, colors, it all turns my gears.

I generally don't care much about alternate versions. I often find one version appeals to me less than another. Cum versions tend to overdo it, clothes versions can go either way depending on the interest level of the clothing, and I'm not about random dicks from off screen. =P That said, this is actually an example of an alt version I like. It shows a progression, which is instantly far more interesting than most other alt versions.

Thanks so much for this, I think for really hit on something with that comment about progression. I'm also not super interested in seeing someone turned into a pastry strudel, but if like you said there's a narrative, clothes are being removed and stuff, that can be nice. I've seen some InCase comics that do this pretty well. It's never as good as totally unique panels but it's a way to make a lot of content but recycling.

Awesome, thanks so much for sharing this. I think the alternate expressions and clothing are especially fun. Kinda appeals to that part of me that likes paper dolls, perhaps? 🤔

Thanks for the the thoughtful response, Peter. I really appreciate your respect for the artist's choices! So far every response to this has been basically exactly aligned with my own feelings, even in the sense that they conflict somewhat, haha! I don't expect there will be any major departures in the way I approach what I do, but on occasion I might draw something with more/less clothes, because that would be kinda fun. :)

I personally really love alternate versions (especially if it means more buttstuff lol)

Haha, thanks for the extra input Nick! I'm glad you commented on this because I had kinda let it slip my mind and you brought it back!
