Speedo: For when it's technically not a nude beach, but...

Decided to do a slightly different Patreon exclusive (Aside from the typical HD-ness my HD Friendos get) and talk about lensing choices when rendering! It's something people don't really think about but can make a huge difference in the final piece.

In CG work, lenses and other camera settings are made to mimic real life cameras as closely as possible. So if you know your way around a photo or video camera, this should all be very familiar.

Aside from the final piece, I also uploaded the same render with different focal lengths, to show you how it changes the look of the subject.

I chose to go with the 50mm for the final piece because it sorta flattens out the subject for a nice top-down look, without giving too much focus to any one part. With the lower focal lengths, the legs become really prominent. Which can work well, but it wasn't the specific aim. Whereas the 85 and 120 flatten him out too much. Higher focal lengths also make this boy beefier, which is always nice ;3
