Your frustration at the trainers during sakura’s part was exactly my reaction. Like when they said why did you change the center? I was literally yelling at my phone “cuz you told them tooooo” 😂 I’m sure Sakura would have done much better if she had practiced that part from the start, but she didn’t know any Korean at the time so I don’t think she would have been the best rapper anyway. I feel like either way the other team was just gonna fit the song more because they’re full of such energetic people. I wish sakura’s team had gotten peekaboo though cuz I think they would’ve done great at that song

So, Han is more right in regards to how the audience at the performances voted on these. In most other scenarios, Kess would be right that the audience prefer cuter concepts but on Produce 48 you have Korean trainees and Japanese idols competing together. Unless you’re a famous trainee, you’re not going to have established fans. Almost all the AKB girls have fans who are going to vote for them no matter what and since the AKB girls almost never promote outside of Japan, these performances would be the only opportunities for Korean AKB fans to see them live without having to visit Japan.
