In most Asian cultures, taking off shoes before entering the home (and sacred places) is not only tradition and for hygienic reasons, it is also a sign of respect to the place. This is emphasized in episode 1 when Yeonjin didn't take her shoes off in Dong-eun's imaginary scenario and when Yeonjin and the bully gang never took off their shoes when they went to Dong-eun's house to bully her. On the other hand, seeing Yeonjin's husband take his shoes off means he's not only well-mannered but he also has respect for Dong-eun's place.

When Yeonjin's husband was looking at the Siesta bags, he realized how many times and how long Yeonjin had been cheating on him. It also was the final proof that made him realize that Jae-joon is Yesol's biological dad.
