Elegant Private Life

I feel like Elegant Private Life should be the next one. It’s what most people watch after Sixteen because it was filmed shortly after that.

Time to Twice: Crime scene

Sad

Seize the light please

Please react to Twice's Elegant Private Life next! It's their first reality show that took place right after they released Like Ooh-Ahh so you can see how their early days were like. It's also highly chaotic and entertaining haha

Seize the Light is a must watch series. But when I became ONCE at 2020, I watched Twice’s Elegant Private Life (and Twice TV) right after SIXTEEN. I agree that watch Private Life first fits more then seize the light. You can understand them better and it generally helps you have deeper feeling on STL.

Liann Garcia

Dear god i hope it’s seize the light!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 EPL is cool too. 🫶

I really think this show is quite good in a lot of ways, but the one thing that really really irks me is that the girls themselves had to say the name of the eliminated contestants at the final Major/Minor shift. I didn't think about it the first time I watched it, but someone pointed it out, and when I saw it, it really bothered me. It's like, the girls are super happy for being confirmed to be in TWICE, but they also have to be the Executioner to the people who DIDN'T make it into TWICE and that probably sullies the good feelings a lot. I get that They've Always Done it Like That and it's probably good drama, but I really think JYP himself should have done all the announcements at the end. Both who got into TWICE but also who was replaced.

Camille

I also would love to see you guys react to Twice's Elegant Private Life!!! I think it's the best to watch right after Sixteen because it's them as freshly-debuted babies

Also, i have a pet-theory that JYP was like DAMN after he eliminated Momo, and wanted to think of way to bring her back in the group. The more cynical side of me thinks JYP thought 'Okay, I need to bring Momo back, but people are probably gonna be upset if I only bring her back out of nowhere, so to Mitigate that bad feeling, I'm gonna bring in Tzuyu as well, the audience favorite.' JYPE actualy put out an official statment the day after the final results were announced where they apologized for not being more clear in how the picking worked. they said that They thought that the 7 members needed something extra, so they added one member from audience choice and one member from JYP+AR-team choice. In the end it turned out really well for most of the SIXTEEN members, but I remember there being a huge ammount of controversy around the final pick. And like you said, Chaeryeong must have really thought it was her since she was the only one not eliminated, and someone who focuses on dance. :/

re-post* i know a lot of people are probably gonna suggest you watch TWICE TV next since it came directly after sixteen, but it's so long and so many spin-off seasons (they do random one offs, some based around comebacks, full blown multiple episode arcs, behind the scenes, vacations, single member vlogs, hobbies, etc) that'd you'd get lost in it without a concrete set up for it. so i'd suggest their youtube docu-series Seize The Light because it's shorter (9 eps) and still is personality/work based or TWICE'S Elegant Private Life (8 eps) since it's their first proper reality show post debut. Seize The Light is a little later in their career obviously (set around their twicelights tour in 2019 all the way up to the MOREx2 comeback) but it'll give a nice structured breather after everything that was sixteen without leaving you scrambling to figure out exactly what episodes of TWICE TV you would want to watch and in what order or random variety show/interviews/weekly idol/running man appearances (though running man ep 506 with them is HILARIOUS). plus you'd already heard all the titles and a few bsides up to that tour so you won't be lost in music. whereas TWICE EPL is right after debut and leading up to the cheer up comeback so you get the chaotic schedule of rookie TWICE where they got to pick random/silly things to do for fans and to each other for 8 eps and you get to see them blossom into their early personality types that you didn't really see on sixteen. this obviously isn't a full blown suggestion for you to watch those, because honestly you might want to watch it on your own or not, but i thought i'd just throw STL out there specifically just in case because a lot of people do usually like it because it lets you learn more that the girls themselves have never really talked about before both individually and as a group by that point in time. and ELP is just chaotic, messy, silly twice at their finest from their early years. (ps if you DO end up watching Seize The Light - yes, the captions are just like that. it's annoying, but you get used to it by the end of episode 1.)

This was such a joy to rewatch with you all! I think you guys will really like GirlsPlanet999 (the Kep1er survival show). Thanks for the reactions <3

Rohsyeons

gotta be one of the worst planned finales for a survival show. like the way they announced the members was CRAZY.

Edweirdo

I really feel like JYP eliminated Momo because he had no doubt she would be in the group, however, he still had questions about Jiwon and Chaeyoung and wanted to see more from them. Just my conspiracy theory.

Msken94

I would suggest twice private life that’s like right after their debut

whomanshoe

Nayeon was really shocked was Momo was eliminated (think she said felt unfair?) since she was so good so probably why she was crying so much when she was picked.

Horizonshard

Also Momo being announced as the last member meant that Minyoung (Nayeon's good friend) wasn't going to make it. So it was a double-edged sword for Nayeon.

Yeah so I’m not sure if y’all remember but the Beyoncé choreo was from Ep1. They all already knew that choreography and it didn’t make too much sense to re-choreograph it.

pengiepengie

If you watched Nizi Project, you can see that JYP learned from Sixteen and just took everything under his own hands. The process I think makes more sense as well than Sixteen, as shows go.

Eririnmimorin

Now that you've experienced the brutalness of sixteen, I hope you react to the final JYPE group Niziu. Theyre the first jpop group JYP formed through the survival show Nizi project and it shows how he has refined it to be more wholesome than sixteen 😭 (also Momo and Sana are guest judges in there!!)
