I can only surmise that Hybe got annoyed when Gyuri decided not to renew her contract and decided to punish Fromis for it for the rest of time. There has so be some rational reason for the complete neglect they have got in the 2+ years since STW came out. My pessimistic self still believes the August comeback will get pushed back for some invented reason, probably that LS want to release something and they can’t have 2 Hybe group comebacks in the same month, so back you go once more Fromis… we’ll see I guess.

The really sad part is that the girls have been severely under utilized from day 1! Keep in mind that in the 6.5 years since they debuted they’ve had a total of nearly 4 years of hiatus, including 3 separate 1 year+ breaks! The mistreatment is not new to their time at Hybe & I don’t think it has much to do with Gyuri leaving. Reportedly she never signed an extension like the others did when they moved to Pledis\Hybe and everyone knew she’d be leaving when her original contract was up. First they got ignored by OTR/Pledis, and now by Hybe/Pledis. God forbid the more popular groups (you know, the groups that the agencies actually promote & spend money on) should get shown up by the likes of Fromis….cant have that! /s Here’s the problem as I see it. When they were at OTR all the money, resources & energy went to the higher profile group, Izone (no hate, just facts). And since they’ve moved to Hybe all the money/resources/energy has been focused on higher profile groups (LS, NJ, Illit). Add that to 2 years of COVID stuff & here we are! And not for nothing but no one will ever be able to convince me that one of the reasons Hybe got F9 was to get the production staff that was responsible for Channel_9 (& other F9 variety content)! Leniverse & Day off are produced by that group & they’re so good…and so similar, in vibe & content, to C_9! In fairness to LS, the girls are incredibly good at variety stuff. The stupid IS voting scandal has also hindered their success somewhat as well. Unlike with Izone they (still!) tend to get more hate from a small but loud group of knet haters!

One reason why there were clappers was because there was no Lightstick yet four years into it. As you both said they deserve so much more and I just hope with the new comeback it really shows how amazing they are.
