Though the hypnosis has finally worn off, the wolf has woken to a hopeless situation. Bound and gagged, he can still hear the tiger below, but is unable to call for help. Trying with all of his strength, the meal simply cannot free his muzzle. 

His ability to speak, while a very valuable tool right now, is greatly overpowered. Though the canine is determined to try every avenue towards freedom. He kicks and squirms, trying to push himself off of the rather large coil he has been forced to straddle upon. But the python's immense weight and strength is far too gratuitous to escape. 

Feeling the gagging coil tighten, the wolf is effectively silenced even further, resulting in hardly a whisper of protest despite his efforts. Kaa continues his conversation with the tiger below for quite some time before concerning himself again with his trapped, hidden meal above.
