Xiomara - playing with trucks (Patreon)

Hello everyone,

Here we have Xiomara doing a bit of showing off by balancing two massive dump trucks. She has no trouble lifting the many tons of steel, it's the balancing act which gives her the challenge.

This is the first character I migrate from Daz Studio to Blender. It took a while to get the skin and the rigging to work right but now she is there and fully pose ready. Eventually I'll get all my characters to Blender but it's going to take some time.

For those of you who might not know what Daz Studio and Blender are, Daz is an application for character creation and posing. Is very versatile and you can buy lots of male and female characters, clothing, props and environments. Its not a modeling app, but more of a layout and posing tool. Blender on the other hand is a full 3D creation program, you can do pretty much anything with it. It's a lot harder to learn and you have to do a lot of work to create a character from scratch. Many people nowdays create their characters in apps like DAZ and then transfer them to Blender and work in it from there. 

The benefit of using Blender is that it lets me manipulate the body of the characters natively in a way it was not possible in Daz. Fix body parts bending weird, sculpting muscle flex after posing, using simulations and fluids, etc.

There are a few more things I need to tweak in Xiomara, like her hair. Blender has a way of doing strand hair which can be simulated and respond to gravity and wind. So I plan to replace her long hair, eye lashes, eye brows and pubic hair.
