Cory, or how the underground know her: Mantis, is a woman who has the distinction of been known as the deadliest non-metahuman in the world. She is an extremely skilled assassin for hire who has trained for nearly her entire life, turning her body into a living deadly weapon.

She has single handed taken out high value targets and their entourage of heavily armed bodyguards using only her body and unparalleled skills.

She has a burning grudge against Rose Dumont, who despite not being as well trained as Mantis, has proved to be impossible to kill by the assassin. She greatly resents that for women like Rose, their incredible gifts have not been earned and she, who has trained her body to perfection will never be as strong or as fast Rose.

Still, she is the most dangerous woman alive and wherever she goes, the bodies just pile up.
