As a cosmic being, Kara and her sister Lila have traits that defy all intuition and what we conceive as part of the natural world. Each one of the twins have an incredibly hard and dense molecular structure, letting them each have an incredible mass of close to 80 metric tons. 

These incredible women have the ability to fly, and they use that power to negate gravity to reduce their apparent weight so they can live in a human world without crushing every floor and vehicle under their feet.

Kara uses that power to have a "normal" relationship with Scott, however she does from time to time enjoy to remind him how much above a normal human she is.
