A New Dawn Comic Synopsis (Patreon)

The story begins where Solo ends.

Qi'ra calls Maul and is instructed to bring the ship to him on Dathomir, there they shall decide what to do with the traitor Beckett. From now on, he and Qi'ra will be working much more closely....

He turns off his lightsaber, and instead uses the force to kill the gangsters gathered before him, once allies, for the lightsaber is too good a death for them. The last Faleen tells him the Black Sun will not take this lightly, but as Maul curb stomps him to death, he doesn't care.

A new Dawn has come.

Qi'ra, enjoying the carnal delights Dathomir's Nightbrothers have to offer, is summoned before Maul. They're weak but hungry for violence, shadows of their former selves now the lone Nightsister is off-world. Beckett, Maul has learned, is dead, so revenge on him is now no longer important. What is however, are their main rivals. The Crimson Dawn is losing power, the Hutt cartel is growing, and the Empire are muscling in. The Pykes are too weak, but the Black Sun, ruled by Prince Xizor, could be the Dawn's new hope of maintaining its foothold in the galaxy. Maul has a mission for Qi'ra, to infiltrate the Black Sun or better yet, give herself in to Xizor, using her cunning manipulation skills, in order to assassinate Xizor and gain control.

The plan goes off without a hitch, for the most part, as Qi'ra meets with Xizor. Unfortunately, the Faleen's pheromones are something neither she or Maul would have considered, as she gives herself over to Xizor and they bed, leaving Maul and his Dawn forces without backup as their secret attack against the Sun is interrupted by the arrival of Imperial forces.

It is then however, as Qi'ra is in bed with Xizor, she realises her mission, and then-
