That's a very rich depth colour for the background, certainly makes Alison pop into focus. Brilliant work!

I like it - would you ever consider doing the figures themselves in that medium as well as the backgrounds. Maybe when you start taking commisions again can explore figures that would work in that style - something Renaissance maybe?
