the purple alien is a Lasat, like the character Zeb seen in Rebels. In the OG Solo Vos was to be a Lasat or similar played by Michael K Williams. He was recast when not available for reshooting and Paul Bettany was cast as the near human Vos. So the Lasat design is repurposed here, featuring Michael K Williams’ distinctive scar.
