Gloves wip (Patreon)

Got the gloves pretty much done today. Apart from airbrushing the stripes and glueing the fabric around the claws.

To make the fleece pattern I decided to drape it from scratch. The fleece had so much give it didn’t really need something absolutely spot on like a tape pattern so I just pinned sections into place and cut out. Using a water washable marker (blue lines) for a guide.

Finished sewing the fleece together early this morning and placed the glitter paw pads on top, marking placement with the market. I cut out holes and hand sewed all the pads in place. The smaller ones took about 20 mins each while the hearts took closer to 40-50 mins.

The pattern needed some small adjustments after fitting over the foam core. But easy to do, just taking it in here and there.

It’s getting very late so I’ll take some video of me wearing them tomorrow. I think if I made them again I’d try and create the volume with stuffing pockets rather than foam since it was a bit delicate until the fleece skin was finally attached. Add it to the long list of trial and error. Really love how they look though.
