Beak sealed (Patreon)

Over the weekend I sealed the painted beak with clear epoxy. Super happy with how it came out. It'll give a super glossy, extremely durable finish. 

While you can handle this epoxy after 24 hrs the actual full cure time is approx 1 week, so I'll set these aside to harden fully before starting on the head. 

The paint for the beak has pearlescent pigment added so it has a little glimmer to it, especially close up. 

Originally I was going to cover the beak in fabric but I'm so glad I went this way instead. Mostly I was fearful about getting a nice epoxy coating but it definitely came out far nicer than what I think fabric would have looked like.
