Kitty ears (Patreon)

Really proud of how quick I whipped these out.

Used a lot of Sphinx cat reference and bugged my own cats more than they appreciated haha.
For thin ears like this I like to start with a worbla pattern. That way I can start with a rigid base that can be mirrored for both sides. It holds the thinnest part of the ear in shape so I can sculpt on it without it distorting.

Will make some minor changes and smooth the clay out for moulding. Hoping to have them polished tomorrow and pour the 1st half of the mould. I’m trying a hydrocal (plaster) mould since they will be cast in silicone. Haven’t made a mould out of that material before so will be interesting.
