Ok! Now I have some real progress to show.

Scaled up the final body pattern by 200% for the shiny Feraligatr. Sewed it all out, not very exciting there. Did a mock stuffing of it all, it will need to be unstuffed when I stitch his spikes into his back, and I'll probably need to make his back 'humps' bigger.

After stitching out a couple of test claws (to get the scale I needed) I digitised it as a straight stitch, so that I could quicky sew them all and have them be the same size. I can also just scale them up to 'sew' the slightly larger claws for the non-shiny feraligatr I'm making after this one.

I did a quick test of the rotating leg joints and their placement.  They should work well once I add all the joint components (this will need to be done before the final stuffing). To see how I make these custom joints you can watch my last video on the subject.

I had to add wiring to brace the legs since they will be holding so much weight. I ran a single heavy duty wire starting at the toe, going along the foot, up and around the extremities of the thigh and back down into the foot.

Now I'm on to patterning the head. I'm aiming to have an open and rotating lower jaw for him. So far it's looking promising, but I've only made 2 test heads so far and they are still in the ugly phase. I'll share pics of the patterning progress for the head when I have a little more to show.
