I took a totally different approach to what I have done in the past for Tia's mane. Wanted to try and make it joined at the top, and I'm really glad I did. I absolutely love how this has turned out, especially that front view! Can't wait to see what this looks like in printed minky. 

Patterning was done over several hours of taping, cutting, taping, cutting and repeat 20x haha. Just a lot of fiddling with flat paper pieces

Gorgeous!! ;0; And I recall you saying you hadn't used Spoonflower before. I have had custom fabric from there and love it! The minky is soft and on the thinner side of minky type fabrics, but not in a bad way (it is not 'cheap strechy' it keeps it's shape) with about 2mm pile. The minky is printed on white so know it will always have a lil white at the base of the pile no matter what they print on it (only noticible really when the fabric is creased extremely on darker print colors). If you are worried about color matching Spoonflower offers a printed hex code swatch. :)
