Yet again, I was hugely overenthusiastic about how much I could get done in one day X'D. I thought I'd be able to fur Trico's face in one sitting, but that was not the case.

I started by making the template for the fur on the foamed/back/cheek portions of his face. I can't manually glue fur with craft glue to these places so needed to use hot glue. The pattern was extracted w/ tape, hand sewn and glued.

I had been having a lot of trouble with my clippers (wahl brand) trying to trim the fur when it was flat/unsewn. I found that that totally changed when the fur was glued. It cuts through it like butter! I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong when the fur is flat, but the resistance of the structure underneath sure changes things. I had actually thought they were broken or something.

I added the base fur and started to glue the fur in layers/strips onto his resin face w/ tacky/craft glue. Unfortunately it seems to take forever to dry, so I was only able to do a small portion >_<. I think this is something I'm going to have to do a layer at a time over several days.

It will be curious how the fur changes the head shape too, I've done some trimming etc, but it definitely adds bulk. You can see it has eaten up the ears at the base a bunch, which is actually good since I planned for that and made them too big haha. But I am not smart/experienced enough to know how much of his face should have needed to be reduced to account for fur. Hoping I can trim it to fit.

If it doesn't work out I'll likely rip it all off, or worst case I can cast a new head and redo it all (not that I want it to come to that). I'm going to refrain from judging it until the fur is on the entire face, for now it looks like he has some sort of beanie or hoodie on haha.
