Belly covered (Patreon)

Found the time to quickly line/cover Trico's belly. A portion of it wont be covered by feathers, and will be airbrushed to match his puppy-like tummy. I'm using suede for this, since I felt it matched the soft, smooth texture the best. 

I used a thin layer of hot glue to attach some white felt over the tummy. This gave a smoother base. The suede was then added on top on the same way and trimmed to fit. 

My next job will be airbrushing the belly. Not sure if I will have time to do it before I go back to commissions on Monday, but we will see. I do have some spare suede to test on thankfully.
