This was the first full concert of theirs that I've seen and it made me fall in love with One Ok Rock. Most of the songs are from the 35xxxv album (one of my favorites btw). Thank you for all your reactions this year. Can't wait to see what 2024 brings! Cheers :)

Most of the songs that you didn't know in this concert were from the 35xxxv album! Mighty long fall was also from this album, and you've already seen the mv haha. I am green with envy that you got to see the VS concert but I'm also living vicariously through you! Here's to hoping OOR return to north America soon. Cheers!

Around 2010 after they performed at Budokan(also a live concert available to watch). That’s when they became big in Japan and started touring bigger festivals and arenas. Also “35xxxv” is pronounced as “35”, the xxv is omitted. The album is called 35 because when they toured in the US, they saw a lot of 35s. From what I remember and heard from fans. As it was their first album produced overseas in the US. At the time, fans weren’t fond of the new direction OOR was going with the more “simplistic melodies and lyrics”. But since then grew to like it more. The Beginning, Clock Strikes, Deeper Deeper & Smiling Down are all from Jinsei X Boku = Album, the album before 35xxv and the last one they produced entirely in Japan. It’s also my favourite album by them and you gotta react to Jinsei X Kimi Japan Tour 2013, it’s such a good concert by them. Liar & Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer is from their 4th album, Niche Syndrome. Lastly, Toru passed out from exhaustion after the concert and had to be taken to the hospital.

I FINALLY WATCHED THIS. Ugh... I love this concert and I didn't know you recorded it live. I missed out. T^T I know Taka said in an interview recently that they were going back to this style of rock on their next album that they're working on! I can't wait to hear it. All their albums are amazing. ^_^

I love their energy here. In the documentary of this concert, they showed a clip of how tired they were after the concert. And Taka almost can’t sing before the encore. He was having a difficulty backstage after several screams. The tour they were talking is the Japan tour only.

I have to thank Oo Pe so much for the English translations. I didn't know the Japanese lyrics but now with the translations they become more meaningful. And I always wondered what was said in the MCs and I appreciate being able to understand them now. I am so happy that you have embraced One OK Rock too because the concert videos have become even better because of the translations. I have watched these videos many times but they are more special now

Plus as a fan of OOR I’d love to see them promoted more, they deserve way more recognition that what they currently have outside of Japan - the world needs to know! It was a win-win for everyone!! 🙌 To answer your question during the reaction, Clock Strikes is off the album “Jinsei x Boku =“, which also has The Beginning and Deeper Deeper among others. I had a feeling you’d love this show! 35xxxv was their heaviest phase, and Taka is saying they’re headed back in that direction after the more poppy slant of Eye of the Storm.

Thank you so much Oo Pe, and cheers John! The songs you hadn’t heard were mostly from the 35xxxv album, including the instrumental one. Some, like Suddenly, were never performed again, at least not recorded, so that makes me cherish them more. 💙 I’m hoping for Eye of the Storm Tour or Field of Wonder next. 🍀
