This movie was a masterpiece!
It captured so much of the process of how difficult the pandemic was for musicians and how you can overcome a seemingly impossible task with a great team!

It is such a powerfull band! After this I think it will be awesome for you to watch a full concert WITH an actual audience! This is a link to a full concert of their 2015 tour "35xxxv" https://youtu.be/HcKpBo4Bc24 If you watch it I hope you will enjoy it as much as us! Thank you!

Mido

seeing the other comment, i can recommend bilibili.tv you can search for one ok rock there and see all of their concerts in pretty good quality, if that's something you're interested in

I have been waiting for this. I admire Taka even more after watching him. His talent is insane but you will love him deeper when you saw how he works. This man is really something. He made his name by himself not just because his parenta are famous. I agree you have to see their full concerts. I recommend 35xxxv or Ambitions Dome tour

I’d never watched the documentary before either for some reason, great to watch it here with you, John. I see a lot of parallels between BTS and OOR as well though they obviously come from different backgrounds and play different types of music. Bands of brothers that want to do something positive for the world… and that’s something I can always get behind. Cheers, John! If I could suggest a next reaction song it’d be the version of “Taking Off” from this Field of Wonder show (not the Nagisaen one), as well as the acoustic version they did for their Studio Jam series. I know you appreciate great musicianship just like I do, and I think you’d really enjoy them both. JL

I had watched this, but really enjoyed watching it again with you, John. I wish I had found One Ok Rock earlier as well, but I am eternally grateful to your channel for introducing me to them. I will be diving deeper into their discography ASAP! Taka was 17 when he left home. The entire Field of Wonder concert featured in this documentary can be found on YouTube I believe.

I became a patron just to see your reaction to Flip a Coin. I really loved your reactions throughout the documentary and wish I could have answered the questions that you had directly. I love One OK Rock and have so much respect for them and for Taka for giving us beautiful songs and his vocals are so awesome. I am glad that you found them and am looking forward to more reactions to their songs. Thank you! Hope you can watch their Field of Wonder concert in its entirety because it was very special.

I am an Army and OOKer, so I really enjoy your reactions to both BTS and ONE OK ROCK videos. Thank you so much for sharing all the fun videos! I would love to watch your reactions to an entire tour setlist. Also I wanted to send a request for an OOK song. I think you have not reacted to one of the most popular songs, called "The Beginning". There are many good videos of the song from different tours. If you have time and think this is a good idea, I would recommend to watch MV first, and then 2 versions of live performances. 1) Official MV, 2012 - over 200 million views https://youtu.be/Hh9yZWeTmVM 2) Eye Of The Storm Tour, 2019 - very energetic, iconic OOK Performance https://youtu.be/h1PN7LEH2Vs 3) Acoustic Live, 2021 during the pandemic - different feel https://youtu.be/2IRou8fHgXc I will list two more good ones, in case you are interested in watching more. 4) WARPED Tour 2018 in the USA https://youtu.be/LvGGrWFsrhk 5) Mighty Long Fall at Yokohama Stadium 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9da3oeTD6A

I had such a great time watching this documentary with you, really enjoyed your reaction! I'd love to see you watch one or some (or all) of their concerts at some point. My favorite is the Special Live in Nagisaen concert from 2016. It was a big outdoor show and has an amazing set list. In this reaction, you asked if Toru was the brains behind this band, and I guess he is in many ways since he is the official band leader and the one who started up the band. But I think most of us would agree that Taka is the actual brains behind it, and the one who leads them on a daily basis, as you can see in this documentary. However, I do think Taka's ambition and drive comes from the other band members. They, and perhaps especially Toru, give him the support and strength to be able to pull them forward, and I think that's a beautiful thing.

I'm late to this I know, but I watched this concert live from Arkansas at 3am and had to get up and go to Wark after at 7am 😅

I once read an article where some musicians complained that Taka was too demanding. I always felt that was ridiculous. You don’t play to sold out concerts such as at the Tokyo Dome without being so meticulous. I think that’s why he was thinking they may not think well of him. But I loved seeing this because he wasn’t being difficult, he was a true professional that had a vision. I loved hearing what his band mates had to say about him as well. This documentary is so good! Thank you for your reaction.

I completely agree with you! Thank you for sharing 🙏 can’t wait to see the Other Documentaries!

I was literally just saying that to someone today. BTS and OOR may have different styles of music, but they are very similar in their messages, how they are with each other, and their fans. I think that's why they are my two favorite groups. I would love to see them work together some day.

Tindo

I actually was a OOR fan even before BTS. I have been listening to Japanese music for many years. I am so happy you found them, they are truly an amazing band, that I wish more would discover. I believe like BTS you found OOR when you were supposed to, so enjoy them more now to make up for lost time. :)

Jay Ell

Did you know that Jungkook is a fan of OOR? He especially likes “We Are!” https://www.koreaboo.com/stories/bts-recommends-their-top-14-favorite-summer-songs/ Also, OOR did a rock cover of Dynamite complete with dancing! 😅 You can find it on Taka’s IG.

Neon Moonlight

https://tv.apple.com/us/movie/fool-cool-rock-one-ok-rock-documentary-film/umc.cmc.4dfbqrbbj1vplgr3tdpqqo8ep There's actually ANOTHER older docu on them. I haven't seen it yet, but I THINK it's on Apple tv and iTunes. Been tempted to get it to see it.

Neon Moonlight

Tomohiro is Taka's middle brother. He's, from what I've read, is apart of Tokyo Tv station? Not much is known about him though.

Tindo

No, I did not know that. I was wondering if they are fans of each other. I have never heard either talk about the other. I can see him liking time. Thank you for sharing that with me! 💜

Tindo

I have got to see that!! That is so awesome!!

I think he was 15 when he left home. He lived in the restaurant where he was working.
