So the members continued to live with each other after debut and they changed dorms a few times over the years. I think Hobi was the first to buy a home, which he did so in 2018. Between 2018 and 2021, all the members would purchase homes, however, they’d split their time between their own homes and the dorms, depending on their schedules and what they had going on and then in 2022, their lease for their last dorm ended (they didn’t renew it). As they got more successful their dorm size would grow and eventually they all got their own rooms with the exception of J-Hope and Jimin. The two of them had always been in the same room. When it was all seven of them in one room, when it was J-Hope, Jimin, and V, and then J-Hope and Jimin. When it came time to get their own spaces in their last dorm, Jimin said he’d be lonely being by himself so instead of getting his own space like the other members, Hobi decided to continue to share a room with Jimin which is what he’s referring to in this video when he says “I thought I should stay with him”. I think that’s part of the reason why Jimin and J-Hope are so close/have a special bond and Jimin is able to make J-Hope laugh more than anyone. The two of them are the only members that roomed together the entire time BTS lived together.

They discuss about their living arrangements in the Festa dinner. Tammy S is correct. They all lived together in dorms or apartments up until they started buying their own apartments. They did still live together some during Covid but we don’t know exactly how much. That was the point of them getting together there for the Festa dinner, the lease was running out & they were giving up that place. They talked about how living with 7 guys for basically 10 years wasn’t easy & about how different they all are. On another video I remember you asked about how long Jungkook lived away from his family. You seemed to think it was for a short time. Jungkook’s family lived in Busan which is 4-5 hours away from Seoul. He signed with big hit when he was 13 & left home to live in Seoul with the other members & a manager in the dorms. He never lived with his family again. His older brother lives in Seoul now in an apartment JK bought him. This may help you better understand when the other members talk about how it wasn’t easy for him at his age to be away from home. It would be like you allowing your daughter at 13 to move to Atlanta for a singing career without y’all. I can’t imagine how hard it was for his parents to let him go but they always believed in him & supported him. You can tell by the way he talks about them. It also may help with why the other members say they raised him. He was a baby when they met him. Jin has talked before about the first time he met him (jin was 18, JK 13). He talked about walking in the room & his big doe eyes & being surprised by how young he was. Army jokes that 20 year old Jin was left wondering how he ended up with a 15 year old son that he constantly worried about his happiness, safety & if he was eating good. We laugh about it but it’s the truth he really did grow up with them. To help understand how much they have worked throughout their career I remember them saying at Christmas in 2021 (they took a short break then) that it was only the 2nd time they had spent Christmas with their families since they signed. So the 2nd time in 10 years they spent Christmas with their families.

that makes so much more sense to me now with JK thank you for sharing that with me, honestly I couldn't even imagine! no wonder they have such a strong bond!

For me, my Rose's are my sons made me coffee every morning this week before I went to work. My thorns... ah, well, today I was late to work. What happened is my phone updated in the middle of the night, so the alarm did not go off this morning. I was so mad. I am never late to anything. In fact, I am usually 15 to 20 minutes early. I don't know what happened. My phone alarm usually goes off even when it updates.

I used to travel a lot for work and I swear there is a different kind of loneliness in a hotel room. I don’t know to explain it, but it’s there even when I’m traveling for fun sometimes. And unlike them, I can go out and about freely. The notes session reminded me very much of what happens with long running shows on broadway. The stage manager and dance captain will often sit in the audience for a performance and give notes to keep the show tight and clean. Occasionally the AD or AC will do the same and sometimes a brush up rehearsal is called. Not often, because that’s not cheap, but occasionally a show needs a tune up. They definitely handled it like the professionals they are. They heard the notes, took them in, and accepted that they needed to do some work. Hobi is such a good dance leader. He has a good eye for the details and the guys know and respect him enough that they don’t get put out when he points things out. I was watching the behind the scenes for busan earlier and it struck me how they’ve grown and taken some control over their performances and how comfortable they are doing so. They know the vibe they want to portray, how to stage it, and what they need to make it work. It was very cool to see.
