Please watch the live performance he did in front of 200 Army @ Rolling Hall in Seoul. The concert was very special. Youjeen sang Wild Flower with him. It’s about 32 mins in. I think Enjoy BTS More has already add English Subs. He sang Still Life but Anderson Paak was not present. Make sure you watch the making of for both songs. Borahae 💜

I think you should still watch the Festa dinner sometime even if you don’t react to it. RM is very honest about where he is. I think as the leader of the group their fame & everything that has come with it (the UN speeches, the White House, etc) became especially heavy & suffocating to him. As far as artistic freedom. I do believe they were given that. I also believe the group had an image to maintain that they all had to consider that in everything they did. They all talk in the Festa dinner about having to sacrifice what they as an individual wanted to do for the group. While they were given artistic freedom that other idols weren’t….the idol life I believe is suffocating. They can’t live a normal life, spend time with friends like most people their age. Every single thing they do is scrutinized & turned into news. And while that is the cause for western artists as well….it doesn’t seem the same to me. I don’t know if it’s because Korea is more conservative but really the slightest mistake is made into the biggest deal there. In closing I absolutely love the whole album! It is perfection!

That makes a ton of sense that pressure to be who you think others want you to be, I just wish they knew we were cool with whoever they are “with the mask off” it’s crazy to think with all the time they’ve spent on camera there’s still more layers. And I totally agree I think Korean idols are in a unique position with scrutiny in comparison to the rest of the world’s celebrities.

Hi, Love reactions and can wait for you to react to the Tiny Desk concern and the mini concert from Soul. Also looking forward to your reaction to his full album, I would subject that once you're done with the album you watch the Indigo Album Magazine, which talks in detail about RM process for making Indigo. I wanted to mention that the reference he makes in Wildflower about "When all this fame turned into shackles" I don't really think he is referring to not having artistic freedom like the explanation video mentions but more to do to how lost and confused he was while trying to find a balance between being RM the Idol of BTS and Kim Namjoon the human. As you know they didn't only become the world's biggest Boyband but the face and representation of Korean music, culture, and brand on the world's stage. I think this lets them with very little freedom and time to be regular people or just human since everything that they do gets zeroed in and scrutinized by the media and other fandoms and the pressure of always having to wear this mask of a perfect Idol can become your prison.

I can't wait for you to react to his entire album...after you do his album you need to watch rm indigo film magazine because rm explains himself what each song mean.

Also I believe rm writing every thing down that is in his head as saved him in a way. He has been always open to army even on his live streams letting us know what's been bothering him and etc

I think the guys have commented that they have freedom but that doesn’t mean they do t sacrifice for the group. They do it gs that work for all 7 and haven’t had enough time to figure out their each individual “color” as they put it. Things like how RM was able to swear throughout most of this album and not worry it wasn’t family friendly enough or radio play friendly. So yes they have had the freedom to make mixtapes and outside collabs but the majority of who they are is still BTS in the first song of the album Yun RM says “I wanna be a human fore I make some art” he’s showing in the most artistic way possible he needs to not be a star for a while and be human walk with wildflowers so he can discover who he is. Still life too he is known by snapshots of who he is his art is a snapshot in a way but he’s still alive not a still life moving through life. Still not even close to over my obsession with this album top to bottom every song is amazing. And I’m glad even if it’s hard for us they are taking chapter 2 to explore things and each find their colors. So far we have Jack in the a box JHope and Indigo RM I can’t even guess what the others will show us!

You should check out the RM live in Seoul concert he held for 200 armys without phones all army just vibing his songs! He had the features in there with him singing the songs and it’s hella vibe and he’s so good live and all the songs with the features was so goood!

There is an interview Namjoon did on BTS’s YouTube channel that you should definitely check, you hear it from his words what each song means. And while I appreciate channels like book theory it’s always better to hear what the meaning of their music is, from their own mouth.
