As voted, we went with a super hero themed piece with the suggestion of using Good Boy and Lucky from the Great Lakes Avenger's recent comic.

Since there was no example of what Lucky's fursona looked like so I've taken liberties with what was discusssed and Goodness's fursona as a base.
