Anyone here who has lived through the wastelands of 2000's internet? I need suggestions of characters from FLASH animations from that era for a small thing that's not related to my patreon but I figured you guys might know some. Suggest any popular ones you know, and thanks!

What I grew up with; Weebl' n Bob, Homestarrunner, Salad Fingers, Foamy the Squirrel, Happy Tree friends.

David Firth, creator of salad fingers, has a ton of great creations, I love Burnt Face Man!

Jared Hammaker

Pucca is the only other one that comes to mind

Kipteitei

Burnt Face man is my fav too, but I think they don't reach the same level of fame as salad fingers

I just remember that hamster (or was it a gerbil) in a microwave oven. Oh! and those dancing badgers.

btw. I just remember this wonderful Korean flash animation called "There she is" I think there were five parts and the first one was called that and the story was really good. Basically a love story between cat and rabbit in a world where interracial relationships were forbidden.

Can't have 2000's FLASH animation talk without bringing up Hot Diggity Demon. Jerry, Maxwell, and a slew of other awesome characters.

eddsworld but i think he died

Hired Goons

Not sure if web comics with flash videos in them count, but Prequel: Making A Cat Cry The Adventure was what I spent a portion of my early 2000's reading. I'd also recommend checking New Grounds if you haven't already, lots of old animations and flash games (like the hentai games you played when no one was home.) Good taste in Homestar btw, best flash animation of the 2000's.

Jeep_Man

DR. TRAN

Some Aigis

Oh man, this brings back memories. I was able to remember the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny, Link LOVES fish sticks, asdfmovie, shoop da woop/lazor collection/Dr. Octogonupus, Mr. Weebl's stuff, youtube poop, Brad Neely (Baby Cakes, Professor Bros. and George Washington), egoraptor, and the duck song.

Anyone else remember that hampsterdance earworm?

Nate Smith

Well, all these suggestions are pretty much my entire repertoire from that time period since I basically staarted getting into the internet only 7 years ago. (poor family) Oh and runescape

Nate Smith

Ricepirate stuff?

Jeep_Man

There's one that I remember, but I cannot remember the name of. It involves a group of like Five Guys and the main guy is a small guy in a red like wrestling suit with wrestlers mask and he has a Spanish accent

Nathan Adams

Cyanide & Happiness, OneyCartoons, Gonzossm

Mark D

Seconding Brad Neely, also Making Fiends (The web series if from 2010, idk about the Tv Show)

Do flash game videos count? Idk that's kinda weird but my siblings and I watched a lot of videos of creations on the game Line Rider (or Line Flyer) back in 2006. Some really crazy creations.

I remember being introduced to the legendary flash video "Fight! Kikkoman" at an anime club showing back in the early 2000's. Here's the link to the YouTube version of the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qII5vwqrGUo

Bluefurvert

Well there is that one guy who was in Weird Al Yankovic flash music videos, specifically "Albuquerque"and "Everything You Know Is Wrong" There's Dim, Dan, and JT from the Decline of Video Games series but I think the preferred characters on that are Square Enix, Capcom, and Konami.

Bluefurvert

Hyperboy. I can't believe it only just hit me, but Hyperboy is perfect

I've found the original source of the "Fight! Kikkoman" video. It took some Internet Archive-ing to do, but I've finally found it and then some. 2003; what a year. There's also a hilarious parody of the Air Master credits as well.
