Good morning everyone and welcome back to 'The Bakery Bears Advent Calendar 2023'

During the 'Advent Calendar' it has become a bit of a tradition to have a taste test. This year is no different, except! Historically we have visited 'Lewis & Coopers' or maybe 'Betty's Tearoom' both in Northallerton. This year its time for a change.

All of your choices sound so yummy! I loved tracking down a few of your choices here last year! My Richmond, Va hometown is a “sister city” with Richmond on Thames, but now I wonder if our mayor knows about the Richmond in Yorkshire!

Your Vlogmas is the best! We love an independent supermarket, we had one when we lived in Somerton (which you probably know Dan, used to be Somerset"s County Town, historically), but now it's a Coop. It's a franchise, but they are limited as to what they can sell. They used to sell all sorts of things you couldn't get anywhere else. Ideal for Christmas foodie gifts! Thank you again for your special vlogs, you put so much work, thought and planning into them, it's very appreciated 😊

My hometown, Richmond is in NSW Australia, on the outskirts of Sydney!. We were holidaying at the top end of Australia, took a day cruise & met a couple from Richmond UK, an American couple near us burst into laughter, they were from Richmond Virginia. How uncanny is that!
