Welcome to our 'Knitting Techniques & Skills' series.

Way back in 2017 we produced a tutorial for the 'Knitted On Cast On'. Today it's time to update that tutorial! So with a much less wobbly camera and with her 2023 approach to the technique at the ready.

Join Kay as she:

  • Tells you a little bit about the knitted on cast on
  • Talks you through when it would be appropriate to use
  • Demonstrates the knitted on cast on technique

You can find more cast on tutorials here : https://bakerybears.com/cast-ons/

Thank you so much for watching and we'll see you soon with more!

I would think it would be good for blankets with so many stitches needed instead of the long-tail cast on.

Susan Floyd

Great idea. I have been procrastinating starting a blanket my daughter asked for because of the cast on stitches. Thank you!
