Welcome to our 'Favourite Places to Knit - Revisited' collection

We are so excited to be back with a brand new 'Favourite Places to Knit - Revisited. Once a month, we take a look back at the original episodes of FPTK:

  • Dan will re-edit them and we will publish them here in a series

  • Just like our Gold Editions of 'My Favourite Colourways' or 'Walking the Dales', this series will be available IN FULL to Gold & Platinum Patrons

  • Whenever we publish a new episode though, we will make it available for one month to Silver Patrons as well!

'Favourite Places to Knit' (FPTK) would run for the next three years and along the way we would learn a huge amount about picture quality, sound quality and of course production techniques. But this is the start of the journey! After eleven episodes which we found rather embarrassing to look at, with bad sound and wobbly camera work, this is the first episode where you can start to see glimpses of what would become 'Walking the Wall' and 'The Rise & Fall of the Monasteries'.

In todays episode join us as we:

  • Take a trip to Easby Abbey, which featured in the first episode of 'The Rise & Fall of the Monasteries'!

  • Explore the gardens and buildings of the monastery

  • Discover a little bit of the story of the Easby Abbey and some of the fascinating characters who used to live and work there

  • Enhance the originally broadcast episode with some drone shots taken in 2023
