We were just talking about the importance of failing yesterday with our kids. And I certainly found mitten knitting really challenging at first until I found the perfect technique for me and after knitting three left hand mittens! I certainly think identifying your mistakes is another step on the way , I remember as a child giving my knitting to my mother to fix and I remember the day( I think I was about ten) when she said “ now it’s time for you to learn how to fix your mistakes yourself “. I was aghast!

I think I’m becoming like you and prefer wooly wools such as Rauma, Lopi and Jamieson and Smith have done and working on a few projects in these yarns. It is giving me such satisfaction. Living in Texas I won’t get to wear them often
