Its back! And look at the progress Kay is making on the beautiful Holbrook Shawl. In this weeks Knit along, Kay talks you through her progress and shares some tips on how 'she' has speeded up her progress.

Knit Along with Kay - The Return of the Holbrook

Kay is here for an uncut moment of knitty chat. Its time for a check in with the Holbrook. Kay has been making great progress and today she talks through some of her little tricks for progressing quickly on this wonderful shawl. We'll be back next week with a brand new off the shelf yarn review.

After I clean up the area around my chair in the TV room, it only takes about 2-3 days for all the bags to come back to the room. It feels like a comfortable nest. I have done the note cards with each line of a repeat, too. I put a hole punch in the corner and put them on a metal ring. Then I flip over each card as I work. Then I don't have to worry about what row I'm on or where to return if I set the project down. It really is a time saver.

I also use note cards and love them. I never thought of using a DPN for an applied border though. Does it affect your gauge?
