Welcome back to our 'Knitting University'

In the latest part of our 'Glimmer Mitts' course, we are tackling the thumb slot on our gorgeous mitts. In this video we'll discover how to measure our thumb so we can then create the perfect fitting hole for it to poke through!

Join Kay as she:

  • Shows you her progress so far on her Glimmer Mitts
  • Talks you through todays stage of the course
  • Shows you a finished thumb slot and talks you through how to size yours perfectly
  • Demonstrates how to position and to create the perfect thumb slot
  • Tells you what you need to complete before the next video in the series

I love what you said about not liking the cable cast on method, but you persevere because it gives a good result. I think that is a really important point to remember in our knitting (and many things in life) that going the easy route isn't always the best way.

Finally a little window to return to this project this morning... 🧶☕️ Watching you work through each step is such a help Kay - I find it so easy to learn this way and you are such a fab teacher... You really have a gift for explaining things so clearly and making me feel like I can totally do this ! 😊 ... Being able to hit pause on the way through so I can follow along exactly with you is also very cool... 🧶 I'm having lots of fun with this pattern.... 😊 Knitty U rocks! ✨
