Welcome to the 'Bakery Bears Radio Show' Episode 41

We are BACK with a brand new episode. After a six week break join us for a lovely walk in a little too much sun. Along the way we update you on where we have been and then we talk about parenting. As children grow into adults how do we as parents continue to be what they need us to be?

Join us as we:

  • Reference our earlier show on parenting https://bakerybearsradioshow.podbean.com/e/episode-12-parenthood/
  • Talk about the challenges of supporting children as they grow into adults
  • Discuss some of our role models who we aspire to as parents
  • Talk about the positives of not following the crowd and being the person you really are
  • Discuss some of our hopes for the future as we transition into a new period of parenting

It will give you both a great sense of accomplishment when your daughter leaves for University happy and eager to go, it did for my husband and I. It shows you have done a great job in helping her grow into the young adult you want her to be. There will be trials along the way but with parent support they will be overcome. The only time I cried when one of my daughters left home was after her wedding but in the years since we have 3 beautiful granddaughters and being a grandparent is so much fun! There are still plenty of good times to come as our children are growing up and making a life for themselves.

My only child has chosen to go to university in London! We live outside of Boston Massachusetts. I’m so proud and excited for her - but! What a big change for us. Your advice is grand!
