Ladies and Gentlemen!

Balance has returned to the force......SHE's BACK! Are you ready for a sit down and a chat with Kay? Today she tells us all about:

  • How she approaches lace knitting
  • Her thoughts on using the right yarn for the right project
  • The benefits of challenging herself just a little
  • And so much more!

If YOU have been inspired to start knitting the Holbrook or something else thats pushing your boundaries just a little, we would love to see what you are knitting! We'd also love to hear how you get on if you ARE trying something new. Kay, I'm the total opposite to you and I love to memorise a lace pattern as it keeps my mind occupied!! I like puzzles tho and see lace and cable patterns as a logic problem that I need to work out. We're all different and have to find what's comfortable for us. You always look to have such a relaxed way of knitting so you are clearly doing what is right for you. Your shawl looks gorgeous so far. Hoping you can find some solace with your knitting at the moment. Take care and thanks for the chat 🙂💗

You are exactly right! That's the beauty of knitting. Both Dan and I find we progress better if we just relax and let it happen. Thanks so much for your message x

I think you have a good attitude about stretching ourselves and trying new. Small doses is good, and not putting pressure on yourself. Lace has always been rather overwhelming, but I am pushing to do a little on things. The Evanstare shawl, is one i wouldn't touch, but so beautiful and I applaud those that attempt it! And all those beads!
