Amanda

It brings back memories of the Tarn, that my then new in laws shared up on the pennines, with a group of 5 of their friends, and they would take it in turn to use. The men went out on a stretch of water, to do some trout fishing, the women were in this hut, chatting, and getting food ready. I had a fresh trout, it was unbelievable, the others had stake. But, its 35yrs ago, an I had an 80s perm, and there was a lot of mist, on the walk to the tarn, I'll say no more, and I didn't believe them when they said there wasn't a toilet, well they were right, I had to spend a penny in a bomb crater, is the only way I can describe it, and I heard my husband chuckle, as in mid flow, I looked up and there were 2 horned sheep watching me, I've never pulled my dungerees up as quick as I did then. What a silly thing to wear to🙄dungerees. We moved to Salisbury, so we never got to go again, but TheTarn was quite an experiancs. It had quite a stretch of water, as the men rowed out, on boats that looked a bit iffy to me, however none sunk. This was my in laws who then lived in Richmond, then renovated a fabulous house in Staindrop. What a memory. ❤️
