In school we read a text: Dearest creature in creation studying English pronunciation. - I don't remember the next bit, but it goes on to say that it should be 1 house , 2 hice because it's 1 mouse, 2 mice. And foxen as the plural of fox - 1 ox, 2 oxen. I think the headline was "Foxen in the hen hice". :-)

A gorgeous show as always Kay and Dan ... 😊 Thank you both so much ... ! And an extra thank you for the tips about your favourite sock base towards the end there Kay ... 🧦✨ Very grateful to know what an expert like yourself values & looks out for in her current favourite base... 😊 The range of choices is completely befuddling to a newbie... LOL... As a devotee of pink you would absolutely love the galahs here Kay ... 😊 They are incredibly sweet... have such adorable little faces ... and are the most beautiful combination of bright bright pink and soothing grey ... They mate for life - and can often be seen waddling around in the parks or on peoples lawns... with their beloved... picking around in the grass together looking for their supper... So so cute!
