Welcome back to our 'Garment Knitting' series.

Dan is BACK with more on his garment knitting adventures! In his return to the centre of the yoke Dan is now properly colour work knitting on his yoke!!

So join him as he:

  • He discusses the project as a whole and what he has enjoyed, plus what he hasn't enjoyed
  • Ponders if the types of projects we choose to knit reflect more closely on our characters than we realise
  • Shows you his Clayoquot and analyses some of the issues he's faced whilst also enjoying some of the victories!

Tahlia Nerds Out

I was actually just talking to my Mom the other day about what goes into designing. I feel that it uses the analytical part of my brain as well as being a creative process and I think I enjoy that process of exercising that part of the brain. Whereas, in some ways, I think that dyeing yarn uses a different area of the brain that is less analytical and in some ways more creative. I personally have no desire to dye yarn, although my Mom loves to. Kay, I think is a good mixture of analytical and creative with her pattern writing and designing. This is my personal theory about pattern writing, but others could well think differently. :-D
