May I ask, in the US, if I got served a scone that was totally dried out, I would ask if they had any scones that were more fresh, or have it taken off the bill. Is that “not done” in the UK? You crack me up talking about discovering places in the town you live, ours is so small we only recently got a Dunkin Donuts, no Starbucks here. Can’t stand Starbucks coffee anyway.
