Welcome to our ’Slow Stitching Tutorial Series'!

The 'Summer of Stitching' 2024 has officially begun and we are SO excited. Over the next three months we have so many wonderful activities in store. We start with a three part slow stitching series which we are delighted to make available to ALL Bakery Bear Patrons. The rest of the Summer of Stitching Tutorial series will be available to Silver, Gold and Platinum Patrons.

Today we continue with our slow stitching series. In this episode it's time to create our template, then choose our fabrics and cut them out!

Join Kay as she:

  • Welcomes you back to the Summer of Stitching 2024

  • Talks you through what we’ll be doing today

  • Shows you how to make a template for your slow stitching piece

  • Demonstrates how to cut out your fabrics

  • Talks you through and shows you how to position them on your template

  • Shows you the finished bag and talks you through how we’re going to sew down our pieces

This is SUCH a beautiful project... ✨ Due to an unexpectedly busy few weeks, I haven't had time to go out and get fabrics and whatnot. This tutorial had me so excited and inspired, I just went in and pulled my fabric box out of the cupboard. It has been a few years between sewing projects for me, so I wasn't really sure what I would find. It was so much fun to look through everything, and I was beyond excited to find I was able to put together a beautiful little selection of fabrics that I really love and that I think will be just perfect for this project... 💕 I can't wait to start cutting my pieces and choosing where to put them! 😊 Looking forward to seeing everyone else's layouts too! 😊 PS How beautiful and relaxing are these tutorials... 🌹 The project itself... the colours... the fabrics... the tutorial visuals ... the music.. the colour palette... All just so very pretty and peaceful... Perfectly Austen 🌹 Beautiful work Kay and Dan! ✨
