Oh Prax and Anna, I wish you could see Amos now :)

Loving the Octavia callback! I remember your distrust of her across a few episodes.

I think your assessment of Amos is accurate, but you also forget the impact of having Holden etc. as someone to follow and have as a family which while more initially subtle (partly because of the initial friction-heavy nature of their interactions), has been just as influential.

Poor Octavia, she was innocent but my man had her pegged as being up to no good. Those were interesting times. I believe you were the only one that was very suspicious of her.

"The drop zone!" hahaha! And could it possibly get worse??

When are we getting that 2 episodes in a week make-up for the college drop off!? 😅🤔🫠

Murtry has such an interesting moment in this episode and it's something that I'll say that it caught me off guard on my first watch. Now is he a 'good guy'? No. But he explains (we only have his words and his perspective on it) that he's been spilling blood and helping other people get rich his whole life. And he doesn't really come across as bragging about it. It's like he acknowledges that he's in a shitty line of work, he's been successful at it and he knows that if he didn't do it, some one else was going to. So he's been paid less than the amount he believes will help him sleep at night. And here is this opportunity to balance the ledger and get out. I really think his plan is to get out if he makes it big. And I do think he'll split his profits with those around him who have had his back. If you think about earth, the unemployment, how hard it can be to make it off that and have a career and what employers feel in 2024 they can ask of their staff, imagine what it would be like if unemployment was over 50%? Do I think it redeems him? No. But do I think it's another great example of the writers doing more amazing things to humanize the 'villains'? Yes! Half the scientists in the protomolecule research team has has a lobotomy to remove areas that processed empathy. Jule Piere Mao made sense that humanity needed to know what the protomolecule was. Inaros is right that there will be administrations that will want to sideline the belt once they've regained their strength. The Investigator is doing what it was built to do. Ashford was willing to do whatever it takes to save the Sol System from the builders technology. The writers add so much into so many characters in this show, but I've rarely come across villains that have had no sympathetic traits, that have nothing I would agree with and that are just moustache twiddling megalomaniacs.
