Wow... first Tyree gets dosed with catnip and then Kirk-blocked. Its too bad Dr. Joseph M'Benga wasn't around for Episode S2E15 Journey to Babel to assist or perhaps be lead surgeon for the operation on Sarek. Why would the Klingons want this planet? While the use of plants and soil might have potential use as medicines, the primary reason for the Klingons to want the planet Neural is simple to conquer another planet and probably lead to enslaving its people to serve their needs. The village leader would probably be a Klingon governor of the planet, but in the end, he would just be a puppet figure controlled by the Klingons so long as he continues to do what he told to do.
