December Personal Update (Patreon)

Hi everyone, just wanted to give a quick update on how everything is going with me. As you all know I sprained my wrist badly at the end of the summer, and it took about two months to heal. Then I got covid, thankfully mild, but by November my wrist was better and I was desperate to get back to work. So I did twice my usual workload for two weeks and wrote a bunch of flashfics and progress on my chapters, which felt amazing, but then I hurt my wrist again, which was much less amazing.

Point is I've learned my lesson and I'm taking things slow again. I'm giving my wrist time to heal properly, and when I can write comfortably I'm making myself work in twenty minute intervals with plenty of rest. Plus I just bought myself an ergonomic keyboard (which I'm typing on right now!) It's a bit strange but should help with writing.

The good news is I've got the flashfic bundle that just went out, and one more batch in the wings as a buffer. And I've got a chapter of It Runs in the Family ready to post in a week or so, with the next chapter already being worked on for January (though I'm making sure to pace myself.) I was trying to hold to my goal of 15k words for everyone, though I might have to settle for 10k this month so I don't push myself too hard. Maybe if my wrist improves I can manage to get another short out, since I do like writing a special holiday story, but I think it would be better to pace myself.

So instead I was thinking of resposting some of my older holiday stories which I'm still really fond of, in case any new readers haven't seen them yet. I know patreon is difficult to search back for older posts and I'm not sure how many people brave the mines of scrolling back six years for all my stuff. I was also thinking of running polls, just to get some fun discussions going with everyone. I say it alot but I truly mean it that all of you supporting me are truly amazing and mean the world to me. The fact that I can pay my rent with my writing is a miracle, and it's thanks to all of you sticking with me through the many tough times that seem to keep coming up for all of us. So thank you again, and I'm excited to hear what everyone would enjoy seeing in the future.

And since its December I'm posting my amazon wishlist again, although obviously your support is enough and I know finances can be tough this time of year. But some of you decide to be awesome and buy me gifts, and it really truly makes my day when I receive something special in the mail from one of you.
