Update: Wow! It's only been two days but I've already received $200 through Ko-Fi to go towards the laptop. I'm blown away, and you people are amazing. I'm working hard to get commissions done to raise more money, and I'm looking forward to the update on Friday the 10th when I'll post the first stories for November. I'm sticking with the original release schedule, and if the donations keep up I can keep the changes to the tier system reserved until the two year anniversary in March. Thank you again to everyone who's donated!

Hi everyone, I've gotten some amazing feedback from patrons regarding the proposed tier changes. So far the general opinion seems positive towards the new tiers, with the biggest complaint being how quickly I was going to roll it out because of my situation. The truth is I had planned to make these changes early next year when my patreon officially passed its two year anniversary, but my need for a new laptop made me want to put it out faster. Right now I'm working hard on commissions to hold off on the changes, and to that end people have been proposing making one time donations, which would mean that I could leave the tiers as they are for now.

As some of you know I have an account with Ko-Fi, where you can make one time donations to help out creators with everyday expenses. The donation has to be divisible by 3, so you can donate anywhere from $3 to $27. If I can manage to raise about $300 or $400 in donations to Ko-Fi, then I could couple that with the commission payments to hopefully have a decent laptop by the end of the year. To do that I would only need more than one hundred people to donate $3 each, since Ko-Fi takes a 10% cut but it does keep my real name anonymous. If I do manage to raise that much going into December than I'll keep the tiers as they are and implement the new system around March or so.

Let me know what you think about the idea, and I don't expect everyone to pay up more support. I'll be making posts on tumblr as well to try and drive up some support from my fans there. My biggest regret about the proposed tier changes was how soon I was doing it, considering I'm only just back up to steam after my injury. I had wanted to put out a few months of regular content and build a buffer before making changes, and if people are willing to donate on Ko-Fi then I'll promise to put out my monthly content as normal and set the changes up for early next year.

On the good news front I'm just finishing the last story to go up on the 10th, and already have some progress on the stories being published on the 20th. I'm writing faster than ever and making good work towards cleaning out the commissions I have right now. I'm desperate for money so if anyone also wants to support me by commissioning a short story I'd be happy to discuss it. My current price is a penny per word, so a 3,000 word story is $30, and a 5,000 word story is $50.

PS: I also just found out that I'm in the beta access for a new early access feature. My big problem with not doing an early access tier is because it would be too confusing to keep track of which stories were posted when, but patreon's new feature let's me post a story to the early access tier, and then make it available to others a set number of days later. I have to look into it more, but would people be interested in seeing an early access tier for stories? What do you think would be a fair price towards it? Let me know below

Early Access would be great, and I'm glad you're doing the fund raiser. I was trying to figure out how to donate on Patreon last week

Early access would be great, but apparently the new feature is only set to make things public after a few days. If I can manage to have the early access drop to a lesser tier than we'd be in business, so I'll have to look into it. And thanks for wanting to help out :) Patreon isn't built for donations, but Ko-Fi works pretty well

I also support TGTrinity on Patreon, who releases a ton of great TG-related comics. The vast majority of his comics eventually go free on other websites, but Patreons get to see them months ahead of time. Getting to see the completed work early, coupled with the Patreon-exclusive content he provides as a thank you for his dedicated supporters, really makes me feel appreciated (and like I'm getting my money's worth). i.e. having some sort of early access tier would be great. Everyone at X dollars gets to see a story eventually, but people at Y dollars get to see it earlier. That sort of incentive is why I stopped buying your individual books off of Amazon Kindle and started to support you on Patreon instead: I needed to know how "Falling For Her Tits" was going!

If I remember correctly, Patron charges less than 10 %. I figured out a way to donate through Patreon:

How to "donate" using Patreon. 1. Go to Your Pledges. 2. Select Sammy. 3. Click on "Edit" to the right of "Your pledge to Sammynona" 4. Enter the amount you'd like to pledge 5. Update Pledge - you will be billed immediately 6. Repeat above procedure to enter your original pledging amount.

I think the early access idea is a good idea for the top tier, and with you also planning to give them also longer stories it will soon make it worth the extra money. You are already good value for money in my opinion with the amount of stories and quality you produce.

Kallie

I'd give you a donation! That's a lot easier for me than committing to a higher pledge level indefinitely.

sammynona

That seems to have worked, though patreon makes it hard to see changes in pledges but I think I got the amount. Thanks Nameless!

I really wish I had thought of a way to make the donations work first. I just feel bad asking for support with nothing in return

Can we send you Amazon giftcards through email? Can you create an Amazon gift wishlist, which, as it seems, anonymizes the recipient? Those options would be very helpful for your fans, I'm sure. Be careful with Amazon wishlist though - the name on account is displayed for wishlists, and your actual address is presented to the gift-giver, if delivery fails.

I had considered doing a wishlist around the holidays in case any fans felt generous, but honestly I'm just blown away from the support I'm already getting towards the laptop. I wasn't planning on getting any of the computer stuff from the internet so I'm not sure an amazon giftcard will help. Unless you were proposing it as gifts outside of the laptop, which seems too nice haha

What is the best way to contact you about a commission?
