Fall Updates (Patreon)

Hi Everyone,

Hope you’re all doing well.  I just wanted to do a quick check-in about the schedule for next month, and give an update on Fir Hollow and the next interactive series.

Things might be a bit quieter than usual in October.  If everything goes according to plan I’m going to be out of town for a couple weeks on a much needed vacation that was derailed last year when my dad passed. My hope is to get some stories banked ahead of time, but if that doesn’t work out I’ll pull some stuff from the archives so there will still be regular content posted.  Maybe hashtag roulette where we feature stories from a different tag for a few days each week?  Still bouncing some ideas around.

As far as the interactive stories go, I think we’ll follow the Kingsbury pattern and cap Fir Hollow at chapter 24.  Chapter 23 will be the printing press story, and then we’ll vote on a final (for now) chapter to cap things off.  As much as I’ve enjoyed writing stories in a shared world, I’m missing the kind of longer narrative that we were able to build in some of the other interactives we’ve done.  I think (emphasis on think) I’ve come up with a plan that will thread the needle and allow us to do an ongoing story while also mixing in some related one-off chapters, so I’ll keep you posted on that as we get closer.
