How could I improve my Patreon? (Patreon)

Hey guys cx 

I hope ya'll are well. I wanted to ask for your opinion. How do you think it is possible to improve my Patreon?
The growth stopped a while ago (over a year ago I think). The income stays basically the same every month. Things like this are really important to me because I am a freelance illustrator so I currently have no other income besides Patreon and commissions.
I really would like to improve stuff. 

I already was thinking about raising Tier 1 from 1 USD to 2 USD
The income decreases a lot when it is converted to Euro and this would make up for the money I lose. Before I would raise Tier 1 a bit I of course would ask you guys about what you think.
But maybe there are other ways to make my Patreon more attractive for people. 

Maybe there are things I can do to offer you more without working more. Since my final semester is coming up. So I still have time to rest. 'XD

Perhaps the introduction of a tier where patrons can get a monthly commission? Also, maybe posting the full images every few months outside of Patreon can attract more people. I think perhaps because all your Patreon work stays here, people aren’t seeing how active you actually are and seeing more of your work. People may be turned off because outside of patreon it may seem like you aren’t super active. Lastly, maybe try a series of images. Maybe a weight gain drive where you take one character and make them fatter in each image until you reach the end of the series. I think right now a lot of the sketches are disconnected from each other and could use uniformity, so a weight gain drive of a few pieces could really tie stuff together. Hope this helps!

hm ... sadly the monthly commissions are not possible I am afraid I would get overwhelmed with all the work besides university, I can't currently draw more than I already do. ;-; Wouldn't post the monthly illustrations outside of Patreon do the exact opposite? Like why becoming a Patron if one can get the stuff for free? This is why I upload teaser on my FA (I should do this with every illustration tho). But I will definitely keep the idea of doing a series in mind when I am done with university! c:

Also I just thought of something else to add: community voting. Perhaps a weekly vote for us to choose what the next sketch will be and illustration for the month. I think at the moment there’s a disconnect between us and you, and having some more patron interaction could really boost the numbers! At the moment it’s more like us watching whatever you think of drawing this week, it’s quite random. I think voting on images will give patrons more reason to check up on your page to see who’s winning and having something to look forward to, cuz they know what you’re gonna draw next! :D

I already have the community voting, c: but it's part of Tier 2. If I would add it to Tier one I would have to have something to balance out Tier 2 again. &gt;w&lt;

To reply to your comment you just posted: I think it depends honestly. DulyNoted posts his patreon work the month after his patrons see it. It keeps his page super active and attracts more people I think. It’s definitely a give and take kinda thing. People love to see an art gallery that’s constantly updated with new stuff and interaction to attract more would be patrons. I would totally consult other artists who have patrons and see what they do to keep people interested!

Maybe add some WIP pictures/ rough sketches? Or speedpaints? I love your work, but I can't afford a higher tier, although I would stay if you raise the $1 to $2. I have to agree with Steele though. Outside of Patreon it doesn't seem like you are active anymore, so no new people can discover you. You could publish your lineart works a while after posting them here to attract new patreons.

WIPs are part of Tier 2 like voting, so if I add it to Tier 1 I would need something new to add to Tier 2 &gt;-&lt; I also was thinking about speedpaints but I am still too nervous to do something like this but I am working on it cx Posting artwork to FA a month later might be worth a try tho I didn't know my Patreon looks inactive :/

Ah sorry, I forgot the WIPs are on another Tier. But it's not your Patreon that looks inactive, but your FA account for example. Most people will come here through other websites and therefore you need to stay active on them as well. Be it with publishing the artworks later to FA (you don't even need to publish every picture) or otherwise. Do you have an art Twitter where you could establish some kind of FA alternative? A lot of artists are active there as well and the chance of interaction and sharing your work is way better than on FA

I think I could post the artwork from here after 2 months on my FA maybe this way its a bigger gap in between but still keeping it active. c: yeah, twitter ... I really have to think about this if I am able to manage so many accounts &gt;-&lt;' I am afraid I will open a Twitter and will get inactive there after a few weeks or something ;-;

Maybe a small poll on what to draw on sketches once a month? For example some really like your chunky dinos while others like your chunky anthros.

The sketches I do are all requests from Tier 3 and 4 :x I usually do Polls on what to draw in the monthly illustration for Tier 2. If I would do Polls in Tier 1 I would have to find something different for Tier 2 to balance it out again &gt;.&lt;'

One thing I would love to do more is chatting, so how about being able to join a discord :o ? I know its a bit "outside" of patreon, but it would certainly be a good advantage of being part of your community here on patreon (and it would be very fun I hope !)

I would say it's a good idea to show the tier 1 to 2 USD, if it helps pay your bills. Maybe in addition to offering sketches of the ideas of those in the highest tier, you can put some personal ideas here that you don't think are posting on FA. Like ideas for clothes, poses, new characters, etc.
